I watched a video in which a guy says, "Our bodies are made of food"?

Shouldn't it be "made from food"?

Have you looked at the Similar Threads at the bottom? This has been discussed several times.

No. Although it's not completely obvious what he means, made of is correct.

Sorry, but I don't think that "our bodies are made of food" is correct. Our bodies are made of things that our bodies make from food. Or to be brief, we are made from food, not of food.

What about from the perspective of other creatures? Here are a couple of Robin Williams quotes from Dead Poets Society:

". . . we're food for worms, lads."

". . . these boys are now fertilizing daffodils."

I agree with your point.

In what context did the guy in the video say that, Babarbutt?

I watched a video in which a guy was talking about bodybuilding and about good food that's important for our bodies.

In that case, made from is better, following the reasoning given in post #4.

Babarbutt, please note that you could have saved a lot of our time if you had given us this context in post #1 rather than #9.

I apologise. I will keep this in my mind from now on.
