Thank you for replying consistently to all my queries.

I was proofreading today when I came across a sentence that reads, " TPI is a leading model that provides an objective, step-by-step guide to realizing business-driven test process improvement."
Can anyone please tell me, why it is "guide to realizing" and not "guide to realize"? :-?

In future, please start a new thread for questions unrelated to the original discussion.

In this sentence, 'to' is a preposition, followed by a noun or a gerund.

Thanks for the reply but I want to know whether both the sentence forms can be used here. i.e.,
TPI is a leading model that provides an objective, step-by-step guide to realizing business-driven test process improvement.
and
TPI is a leading model that provides an objective, step-by-step guide to realize business-driven test process improvement.

What is wrong in the second sentence?:?:

Is there anybody who can help me out with message #23? I want to know which form I should use.

I told you in post #22 - the gerund, the -ing form.
