[General] May be able versus will be able

Is there any difference between the following 2 sentences? Can we use May BE Able & Will Be Able interchangeably.?

1, May he be able to help you?
2, Will he be able to help you?

Only #2 is correct.
 
You can say "Might he be able to help you?" meaning "Is it possible that he is able to help you?"
 
We can also say, "He may/might be able to help you" to say that it is possible that he will be able to help you. For some reason we rarely, if ever, use 'may' in the interrogative to ask about possibility.
