Hello.

Could you please correct my sentence? Is 'more prospects in' correct?

'Football is more popular here and there are more prospects in this sport than in tennis.'

It's natural, but let's clarify something. By "prospects," do you mean opportunities, or do you mean potential players?

If you mean opportunities, use that instead.

Yes, I am talking about 'opportunities'. If I was talking about 'potential players' I could use 'prospects'. Right?

You need more words to make either idea clear.

Right. Potential players are called prospects.

It's short for prospective players.

If you are talking about a brighter future, then you could say "a better (not more) prospect".

Right. Potential players are called prospects.

It's short for prospective players.

If I used 'sports' it woudn't be wrong either. Right? 'Sports' is American spelling, isn't it?

'This sports' would be incorrect in all varieties of English.

'I love sport' instead of 'I love sports' isn't incorrect, is it?

"Prospects" is perfectly okay in the original, provided the broader context clarifies what you mean by it.
