Hi everyone,

Can I say rainier/cloudier/foggier/snowier THAN....? Swan's Practical Grammar says "if an adjective ends in "-y" use -er/est.

1. London is foggier than Bombay.
2. London is more foggy than Bombay.

Yes. Both comparatives are possible with each word.
 
The "-ers" sound more natural to me. This winter has been a lot snowier than last.
