"Many a man/More than one man fell, didn't they? 'men' " but I also think using a singular pronoun is correct but it seems odd, silted or very formal to me.
Now, let's proceed to answer the fifth question.

Many a man gets confused about subject/verb agreement nowadays. :) The singular doesn't feel the least bit stilted or formal to me. The plural would just feel wrong.

Let's not talk sarcastically, please.
I said my opinion as a non-native speaker, GoesStation. For your knowledge, the plural for me seems natural while the singular pronoun seems odd as I had said before.
Many a man fell, didn't he? Here "he" refers to one singular person as we can all see while I treat "Many a man" the same way as "Many men" to make sense.
That my own opinion and what you all said was also your own opinion and there is no need to talk sarcastically.
Now, you all seem to avoid the fifth question. What is wrong with you? :D

GoesStation wasn't trying to be sarcastic but trying to help by advising you on use of English.

I don't care whether he was being sarcastic or not. Thanks for this remark.

although we get the question tag from the subordinate clause usually...

What makes you think that?

The best answer is: I wish he were king, don't I? but it's not at all natural as it is difficult to imagine somebody saying such a thing. Do you realise what the purposes of question tags are?

There is nothing wrong with us. This is what happens when users post more than one question per thread.

You could have given an answer instead of this reply or could have even added the answer.
Now, have you known what I mean?

Why have we stopped discussing?
I will put some more confusing sentences once we are done with these ones.

Hello, man of manners.:)

Could you please start a new thread for your fifth question (and others)?
We'd like you to do this so that this thread won't get any more confusing.
Thank you.:)

I quote jutfrank's post #32:

Well, actually, your fifth question has already been answered there, and two British English speakers liked it.:)

All the people who respond here, including the mods, are volunteers who give up some of their free time to assist others with English. In addition, the mods give up more time to keep the threads running smoothly. Please don't tell us how to respond.

You don't need me to tell you. You actually know. I was just making a suggestion.
I am just asking why you don't answer them all at a time.

Threads with more than one question can become very confusing if different people respond to different questions at different times. It's much less messy if we can deal with one question at a time.

OK, I will take this into my consideration.
Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for your reply.

See above. The phrase is simply "take ... into consideration".

Just click on the Thank button at the bottom left of the post you appreciate. The person you thanked will receive notification of this, and the rest of us won't come into the thread expecting to read something new.

Although I find your style of talking tough or arrogant as I can see, I will do this because I really appreciate your helpful answer. :D

Fine. I won't trouble you with my responses again.

Oh, no.
I am sorry if I hurt you, but I meant no bad intention or harm.
Please, forgive me if I was downright rude to you.
I must respect any teacher whatever they say.

Oh, no.
Don't deprive us of your very much useful responses.

If you don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, don't call them arrogant when all they're trying to do is help you to use the forum more efficiently.

I said I am sorry.
That is the least I can say!
I apologize publicly to Piscean for saying such a thing.
