Hi,

Yesterday in class I said "mountain Everest" and the teacher said no it's mount Everest, mount Mckinley, so how do I know when to say "mount" and "mountain" they're sinonimos in the dictionary.

Thanks

Thanks.

If it's the full official name of the mountain, then use "Mount XXX".

I know that Mount Kilimanjaro is a mountain.
I am going to climb Mount Everest, which is the tallest mountain in the world.

THANK YOU!
