It’s interesting to me that years later I realize that almost all of the friends and philosophers who so generously shared their concern for my life and well-being a decade ago have long since moved on with their lives and out of mine.

Could I assume "they have moved on with thier lives" as "they have lead their lives" or rather "they have moved forward with their lives?"

Thanks.

They are no longer part of your life. They have moved on.

They and their lives have changed. They have other concerns now.
