[Grammar] much stronger

"She's much stronger than me."

Is much an adverb here? I think if it was an adjective, it wouldn't make any sense. Correct me If I'm wrong.

Matthew, your second statement is not true. I know that your dictionary calls "much" a determiner, but a determiner is an adjective.
