Is it okay to say

My favorite TV program is on weekend.?

or

My favorite TV program is on the weekend.

or do I need to use any kind of verb after is

for example,

My favorite TV program is shown on the weekend.

In BE we say 'at the weekend'.

'My favourite TV programme is on at the weekend' ('on' = 'shown').
