Can I use work like a charm for a mobile phone?

Is this correct?

My phone would always hang but since I've had it repaired by my cousin, it's been working like a charm.

@alpacinou - For the umpteenth time, I have had to change your thread title. You must use some/all of the words in the sentence you're asking us to look at, not your actual question.

Like 5jj, I have no idea what "My phone would always hang" means. I would use "... since I had it repaired" (not "I've").

I think the word "hang" used with the phone is borrowed from the term commonly used with the computer, which means being unresponsive/freeze.
