I hardly get any example of sentence using happen to in present.
Can I have some examples of "happen to" in present(NOTE- Not "happened to").

Is the following use of "happen to" correct?

He needs to understand why he happens to do this type of mistakes always.

Regards,
GentleBoy

No. The main reason is that it uses "happens to". Since you don't want "happened to", I guess "happens to" us wrong too if you want "happen to".
This wouldn't happen to be homework, would it?

Hello, GentleBoy.:-D
Please check this.
I've often used this website (or search engine?). I find it very useful. (Thank you for sharing it with us, Rover.)

He needs to understand why he happens to do this type of mistakes always. This is a rather awkward sentence in terms of structure and grammar. Rather, "He needs to understand why he happens to (i.e. routinely) make this type of mistake (or these types of mistakes)". "Happen(s) to" can be used in at least one other way i.e. a mild form of disagreement.. (A) "I hate pizza with anchovies". (B) I don't know about that. I happen to like anchovies on pizza."Regards,
