1) No you can’t go to the front of the queue just because you’re a parent. (Link here)

Can I say instead:

No you can’t go in front of the queue just because you’re a parent.

2) To my friend who is inside his office building, can I say:
a) Can you please come to the front of the building.
b) Can you please come in front of the building.

Can you please tell me the difference between:
"go to the front of something" and "go infront of something"?

Some things, such as queues, have fronts and backs. With queues, these are considered points in space, so you can 'go to' them and equally you can 'be at' them:

at the front of the queue = first in line
at the back of the queue = last in line

The words 'front' and 'back' are nouns.

The preposition 'in front of' marks a point in space in relation to another object. Other prepositions that do this are 'behind' and 'next to'.

She's standing in front of me.
She's standing behind me.

I'm sure you can imagine where she is in relation to you and your orientation.

Let's go back to queues. You're standing in a queue, third in line. Your friend appaears, but he doesn't want to go to the back of the queue, so he asks: Can I go in front of you? You allow him to do so, and now he is third in line and you're fourth.

...AND whoever's fourth is fifth...(etc: whoever's Nth is (N + 1)th)! 🙂
