Hi,
I suspect these two words are not interchangeable. I know that I can use "non-perishable" to describe food that doesn't require refrigeration, e.g. you'd better get some non-perishable food before the storm hits.

When can I use "imperishable"? Is it okay to use it when talking about an unbroken record, e.g. I am a big fan of him. I wish his Olympic record were imperishable?

Is "unbreakable" synonym of this word?
In what other contexts can I use "imperishable"?

Thank you.
