Jeff: It was awesome.
John: What was awesome, my concert or my new car?
Tom: (Pokes in) None of both.

These dialogues are not copied from anywhere. I am just curious to know if 'None of both' is correct. I have never heard it, thus it sounds unnatural to me. My friend, not a native English speaker, said that, to which I told him that it's incorrect. He wanted a proof, so I've come here.
 
Neither of them was.
 
"Neither of them." Or simply "neither."
 
There are several possible answers to that question. None of both is not one of them. (My opinion.)

I'd say 'Butts in'.
 
I think pokes in works fine.
