(My original sentence)

Host: Now, let’s welcome Dr. Lee to give us a speech.

I think the 'welcome' isn't be used correctly. ("Welcome someone to do something" seems incorrect.)

How can I rewrite it? How about this?

Host: Dr. Lee will give us a speech. Now, let's give a warm welcome to him.

You don't need to mention the speech. Presumably, that's what the assembled crowd have come to hear, rather than a poetry reading or a song recital. Just welcome him/her.

Thank you. Rover_KE :)

How would you say it, instead of the following blue part? How about this?

Today he'll share some insight on his exploration of the God Particle. Let’s welcome him.
