Last night was my first time to host an English club. This English club is a bit special because it's for kids. At the English club, I said the following at the beginnging after some chitchat.

Now let me tell you one of the golden rules of this club: To respect others. It's fine and understandable to be noisy, inquisitive, naughty and you can play around and talk with new friends. But, all in all, please do bear in mind that you need to respect every one here.

Is this short paragraph natural and grammatical? The intended meaning: I think kids are often noisy, naughty and so on and it's understandable to be like that but no matter how you be like, please do respect others at the club.

I thought you hosted loads of them! Isn't that exactly what most of your posts are about? I'm sure you posted one the other day saying that you couldn't host the Sunday night one anymore because you're driving a taxi part-time.

See above. I think telling the kids it's fine and understandable to be naughty is a very bad idea!

Right, but all those clubs are for adults and this one (last night) was for kids.

I think telling the kids it's fine and understandable to be naughty is a very bad idea!
Much appreciated!

That still makes your original statement untrue.

Last night was the first time I'd [ever] hosted a kids' English club.

I find the sentense a bit confusing, especially the underlined part.

Would it be clearer to rearrange the sentence as follow?
I think it's fine and understandable to tell the kids that to be naughty is a very bad idea!
I think telling the kids that to be naughty is a very bad idea is fine and understandable.

No, emsr2d2’s sentence is fine as it stands. I understand it this way:

I think telling the kids [that] "it's fine and understandable to be naughty" is a very bad idea!

What is a very bad idea? Telling the kids that you can be naughty and it's fine and understandable.
