I hadn't seen a sentence beginning with preposition `of` before I saw the following sentences that

Of particular note was Marseille's 158th claim (from Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans-Joachim_Marseille)
Of particular note was Granderson’s three hits. (from NY Times - https://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/14/...e-led-by-soriano-rescues-a-wild-sabathia.html)

What kind is this usage? What does it mean "Of particular note" ?

Actually, I tried to ask the question the answerer who is the moderator but I'm unable to do by the post.

It looks unusual to you probably because the order of the subject and the verb/predicate in the sentence is reversed.

Of particular note was Marseille's 158th claim.
Marseille's 158th claim was of particular note
Marseille's 158th claim deserves/warrants attention/notice.
Marseille's 158th claim was noteworthy.

"Of particular note" is an adjectival phrase modifying the claim.
