Hello!
I need to write an official letter from university to museum (I need just fill in the template) , to get an access to information about some exhibits from their collection, but I'm not sure how to write it in English correctly. Could you please give some examples or explain the rules?
That's my variant for a now:
Dear (first name, Surname),
(My university name) asks you to give (My first name, patronimyc, surname), a 4th-year student of the Department of /// in the field of ///, an access to some materials from the collections of the Museum (receiving photographs and information about exhibits by e-mail) with aim to write a final thesis on the topic: "(name of topic)" (chronological framework of the study — X–XIV centuries, scientific supervisor — Associate Professor, PhD in Arts, (initials, Surname).
