Dear Teachers,
Which one is correct?
1. Joe is playing a guessing game with his friends on the school bus.
2.J oe is playing a guessing game with his friends in the school bus.
Thanks!
Delphine

In my opinion, 1 is more natural in AmE.

I would also go with "on".

It's on in BrE too.

I am not a teacher.

It's definitely "on the bus" as everyone has said, but that is only if the bus is actually a functioning school bus that takes children to and from school.

If it's an old decommissioned school bus that is parked permanently in a playground, then I feel it would be natural to say that the children were playing in it.
