If I would like to say hello to someone who is not physically present at this moment through a common friend. Can I use this sentence-

"Say hello to her on my behalf".

It would be more natural to say "Say hello to her for me" or "Give her a hello from me".

yeah I came across this in dictionary. But if we use "on my behalf", would it be considered incorrect?

No, it would not be incorrect. Just not very natural.
