I am reading a news article and not quite clear about the meaning of “making it one of few demographics to do so “ in the following sentence.

“Although the overall number of homeless people in Finland has fallen since 2020, the number of long-term homeless people among the immigrant community has increased, making it one of few demographics to do so.”

There are certainly several different demographics in Finland. Only a small number (a few) of these demographic "communities" has seen homelessness increase. The "immigrant community" is one of those who saw an increase.
