Is it correct to write " I used to go to office travelling by train as it is the only transportation system to avail myself ? "
Yuk! God forbid!NOT A TEACHER
I checked the Web, and it seems that it is correct (and very formal) to say something like: "I used to go to work by train, as it was the only transportation of which to avail myself."
In the present-day United States, however, I doubt that anyone would ever say or write such a sentence.
Yuk! God forbid!
"… The only transportation of which to avail myself" is grammatically correct, but a native speaker would almost never use such a complicated construction when they can just say the only kind of transportation available (if that's the idea you're trying to express).According to you, what is the correct usage of the reflexive pronoun " myself" in this sentence ?
