Hi.

Are my sentences with the word "partake" natural and grammatical? They're from my notebook and the original source is not known.

1) They all partook in the final decision.
2) I am delighted to have partaken of your success.
3) His manner partakes of insolence.


I think all these are not okay.

I think all these are not okay.

No. 1 is okay.
 
I agree with Ted.

In the US, partake is another one of those words everyone knows but nobody uses. We don't partake. We take part.
 
I never use it to mean "take part". I occasionally use it to mean "eat or drink something" - I would usually use it in a slightly humorous/sarcastic way.

Don't expect me to be particularly efficient at work tomorrow. I plan to partake of several alcoholic beverages this evening in the company of a few hedonistic acquaintances!
