Good evening! I am learning the participle and I don't understand lot of things, please help me

I would like to ask, how to tell it correctly:
He sat unmoving, listening to the radio
He was sitting unmoving, listening...
He sitting unmoving, listening...
He sitting unmoved, listening...

and, my note-book lay buried under a pile of books, why not buring?
And He came hurrying into my office, why not hurried?

The issue is who did the action of the participial adjective. He sat unmoving. He didn't move.
My notebook lay buried under a pile of books. Someone else buried the notebook. (It is similar to passive in that it take the past participal.)

The smiling children ran under a sprinkler. (The children smiled)
The written word is more powerful than a sword. (Someone wrote the word.)

He sat without moving, listening to the radio.
