I had never been to a theatre before I went to see Romeo and Juliet in London.
Of course I had watched plays on television but I really wanted to see a live performance. A friend of mine had agreed to come with me.

My question is is it had agreed or agreed better????????!!!!!!???? Please explain why????!!!!???? Thanks!

Both work- the past perfect just indicates that the agreement had taken place earlier.

Welcome to the forum, m1234.

Students reading your post will be amazed to find a teacher using strings of unnecessary punctuation marks.

We spend a lot of our time here insisting that standard English requires the use of only single question marks and exclamation marks.

You can use the 'Edit Post' button to set a better example to learners.

Students reading your post yould me amazed to find that a retired teacher would use methods like offending and not replying to questions and deleting comments....
