Hi!

I don't get a joke from "Friends".

Joey: Look, Rach, Rach! I've been with my share of women. In fact, I've been with like a lot of people's share of women.

Thanks.

I believe what he means is that he has not only had "one-to-one" relationships with girlfriends of his own, but also with many other people's girlfriends etc.

I think he means he's been with the equivalent of several people's share of women. For example, if the average male has been with, say, six women, that is his 'share'. If Joey has been with eighteen women, then he has been with three men's 'share'.

 Could be. Or it could be just a sexist equation like this:

Code:
One man's share of women = N% of the women he meets
Joey's share of women = J [I]x[/I] N% of the women he meets

where [B]J[/B] is a large number.

Or, more likely, it doesn't mean anything much but people laugh because Joey's said a one-liner about his sex-drive. ;-)

PS This was a response to the first reply. My 'or' doesn't make much sense when I'm saying much the same as 5jj.

Thanks for quick answer! :)

I would agree if he had said that he had been with "more than his [fair] share of women".
It was the "I've been with like a lot of people's share of women." that tipped the scales for me.

As BobK says it's likely just a "one-liner" joke about his sex-drive.
