When talking about a woman on maternity leave who wants to work again and come back to her hobbies, job, etc can I use my sentences below?

"She wants to come back to work and hobbies. She says she needs personal space."

The second sentence makes little sense as a follow-on to the the first.

She wants to resume her hobbies.

I'd say something like "She wants to go back to work and start up her hobbies again." I don't see the relevance of the second sentence either. If she wants her personal space, I'd expect her to want to stay on leave.
