Hi.

Let's say next week there's going to be a football match in my school and I and my classmates will attend it. Is it natural to say "Next week we will play at a football game"?

If the match is in your school it's an indoor match. Is that what you meant?

If you and your friends are going to attend it, you're going to watch it, not play in it.

If you are going to play in it, say"Next week we are going to play in a football match".

(American English speakers would say 'game' instead of 'match' every time.)

We'd say "the" football game. It's that important.

It's in my school but it's on the playground. What should I say?

If you and your friends are going to attend it, you're going to watch it, not play in it.

Sorry, we'll participate in the match to compete another class.

"Next week we will play at a football game"?

Is this okay after my explanation?

No.

Don't use at. You don't even need in.

Next week, we're playing a football match.

Next week, we're playing a football match.
In American English, you'll often hear something like We're playing University High next week.
