[Grammar] Please correct these sentences

Please let me know which of the following are correct or all are wrong.

1.An experiment helped light a village (or) An experiment help to light a village?

2.I didn't receive the letter (or) I haven't receive the letter

3.They have told me that they will reprocess my application (or) They told me they will reprocess my application

I'm confused about using have and has..... I use sentences like 'I have applied instead of i applied' , 'i have read instead of i read'

Please correct me

Sometimes, context or the timeline of the piece might dictate which to use but as standalone sentences, all of your examples are correct with the slight corrections I have marked in red.

As I said, make sure your punctuation is correct. Every sentence must end with the appropriate punctuation mark.
