Do we use poccessive 's with the proper names that ends with the letter (s):?:



dawood dawood
English teacher
syria
 
***neither a teacher nor a native-speaker***

James'
James's

As far as I have concluded from the previous discussions on the forums about this matter, I'd say it's just about user's style. Some put "s" at the end and some don't.
 
I prefer to use the possessive 's after names like James.

"I'm going to James's house."
