What is the polite way to email an employee who made an mistake in the work saying "don't make this mistake again"
There are various ways to handle it, depending on your management style, ranging from the dove-ish ('I know you haven't been here long, and I'm sure you won't let it happen again. I had to deal with a similar problem when I was a rookie, and here's what my manager suggested I should do. <etc: explanation of how to handle it>...', to the hawk-ish (what was I just saying in another thread about writing shorter sentences? ;-)) "People only get to make that mistake once! If you value your job, don't let it happen again'). Whichever point on the continuum you choose, I've underlined the 5 crucial (common) words. What is the polite way to email an employee who made an mistake in the work saying "don't make this mistake again"
