Pleease chk these sentences.

1) we will have to postpone the date.

2) we will have to prepone the date.

3) the date was preponed or postponed.

I would postpone the event, not the date. Prepone is not used in some variants, like BrE, though it may catch on.

Again, tufguy, I have to point out the missing capital letters in your sentences and the lazy way you have written 'Pleease chk' without bothering to put it right.

This annoyingly slipshod way of writing from someone who knows better is disrespectful to us teachers and is a bad example to other students.

As far as I know, "prepone" only exists in Indian English.

Indian English does exist: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_English If you want to use BrE you could say "Bring the date/appointment forward".
