Do ‘potential of being’ and ‘potential to be ’ mean the same?





Do you think I have potential of being a good singer?


Do you think I have potential to be a good singer?
 
Do ‘potential of being’ and ‘potential to be ’ mean the same?





Do you think I have potential of being a good singer?


Do you think I have potential to be a good singer?

NOT A TEACHER.

For me, only the second sentence works.
 
I'd say the following is OK:
"Do you think I have the potential for becoming a good singer?" (Not 'of'.)
