Well, it would be a good idea to read them and see if you can get some ideas yourself.

I think 'I am petrified to go to another country for higher studies' sounds better than the one in the OP.

No, that's not right. Don't use a to-infinitive verb after petrified.

There are a lot of good examples on the list you have. As Piscean suggests, read them all carefully and see if you can sense the different meanings that the different prepositions give for yourself.

Use "higher education", not "higher studies".
