I would like to seek assistance to solve my below problems.

One-on-one lessons offer our students a greater flexibility in choosing their own course based on their interests as well as targeted areas for improvement.

Q1. Can I restructure the sentence?
One-on-one lessons offer a greater flexibility for our students to choose their own course…

Q2. Would someone tell me can I use other preposition to replace “in” ?
….for choosing their own course…

Q3. Can I omit the preposition ?
One-on-one lessons offer our students a greater flexibility choosing their own course…

One-on-one lessons offer [STRIKE]a[/STRIKE] greater flexibility [STRIKE]for [/STRIKE] to our students to choose their own course…

offer something(flexibility) to, not "for'
flexibility to choose, not "for choosing'.

not a teacher

would you mind telling me why use preposition "in"?

A greater flexibility is OK to me.

Thanks for your reply.
I understood the “ing” form (gerund) to be followed by verb. But has other meaning when use preposition “in”? Can I use the below prepositions instead of “ in “?

“One-on-one lessons offer our students a greater flexibility in choosing their own course based on their interests as well as targeted areas for improvement.”

by choosing their own course
for choosing their own course
into choosing their own course
of choosing their own course

The original sentence is just fine.

There's no need to put yourself (and us) through hoops trying to change the preposition. Life's too short.
