Preposition at the end of sentence

Which sentence do you suggest that we learners use? Why?

I suggest that people learning English as a a second/foreign language use #1, because that is what most native speakers say and, usually, write.

You, Parser, should use #2, because you like to speak and write in the way that rather formal teachers prefer. I would write #2, and possibly say it in a formal speech, because I am old and old-fashioned.
