With about six meters of snow, the mountains there are "prime" destinations for skiers and snowboarders.

The word prime is similar to ______.
A. basic B. original C. first-rate D. captivating

The answer is B!! But I think it should be C.

How about your opinions?
Thanks to answer the question.

Someone might have read the answer wrong. Prime is usually thought of as being the best - prime rib, the prime rate, the prime time, etc. C seems to be the best answer.

 It could have been B if the word had been primal or primary - but neither of those would fit in that context.
