Hello
I am in the process of recording my song and I would be very grateful if you could help me with my pronunciation. I was hoping for a help of an American English Native, but any advice is welcome :)
Here's the link to the song: https://soundcloud.com/tobb/walk-on-water-accent-check/s-0ynOr

I hope you'll enjoy it

Can you provide the lyrics?

One thing that didn't sound right to me is "walk on waves". It sounded like "walk on waifs".

Thanks. I will work on that. Here are the lyrics:

1.

Sometimes you wake
in the middle of the night
The perfect silence
is the only sound

Can't see a thing
can't lay or leave the bed
There's no one there
it's a desert island

2.
You start to cry
too scared to find a way
Who would have thought
you didn't want to stay

Some envy you
too blind to offer help
There's no one there
it's a desert island

ref.
You need to walk on water
Walk on waves
You need to walk on water
Walk on waves
You need to walk on water
You need to walk on water

3.
Sometimes you laugh
in the middle of the day
"the life and soul"
that's what others say

They have to know
to think of giving you a hand
You've got to leave
leave that desert island

ref.
You need to walk on water
Walk on waves
You need to walk on water
Walk on waves
You need to walk on water
You need to walk on water

1- I suggest you use "wake up" instead of "wake".
2- Change "lay" to "lie (down)".

Thanks for your insights. That's very helpful.
