First sentence:
I believe that one of the most important developments in transportation has been the
development of international jet transport.
Second sentence:
Today it is Possible for more and more people in every country to travel in comfort. Thus it is Possible for
businesspeople to do business all over the world.
My question is: why didn't we put a comma before "has been the
development..." in the first sentence, and why didn't we put a comma before "Thus" in the second one?

Where did you find these sentences? They are not examples of good English.

When you say 'Why didn't we put a comma...? I expect you mean 'Why didn't the writer put a comma...'

There is no need for any commas.

'One of the ...' is the subject and 'has been' is the verb. Why do you think a comma is needed between the subject and the verb?

'Today it is possible ...' and 'Thus it is possible ...' are two complete sentences. Why do think a comma is needed between two complete sentences?

I found this sentences in TOEFL pbt test preparation. And iI mean that we shoul put comma in the first sentece, and a comma before and after "thus" in the second one.
