What is the meaning of purdy and in what context it is used?

As far as I understand "purdy" is a very informal, non-standard version of "pretty."

I would not recommend it use at all. It's not common enough to worry about as slang.

This question has reminded me of a jokey spy drama called The [New???] Avengers - there was a pretty woman in that (skilled in hand-to-hand combat, of course) called Purdy. The female lead always had a punning name; a previous one was called 'Emma Peel' [= M Appeal, with 'M' standing for 'man' or something similar] ;-)
