What is the meaning of purdy and in what context it is used?

As far as I understand "purdy" is a very informal, non-standard version of "pretty."

I would not recommend it use at all. It's not common enough to worry about as slang.

I see. Is there anything else you can add about it?

Soothing Dave said all you need to know.

If you've time to waste you can read the Urban Dictionary entry for the word:

Urban Dictionary: purdy

Rover

 And you could also look up 'metathesis'; the same process made the Middle English 'brydde' into the current 'bird'.

This question has reminded me of a jokey spy drama called The [New???] Avengers - there was a pretty woman in that (skilled in hand-to-hand combat, of course) called Purdy. The female lead always had a punning name; a previous one was called 'Emma Peel' [= M Appeal, with 'M' standing for 'man' or something similar] ;-)
