Reason for Contact vs Contact Reason, both correct? when to use which one?

Here is an example: "John started working at the customer service department and wants to know which is the most common 'reason for contact/contact reason' that the users call in. for help.".

Which one is correct? Reason for contact? or Contact reason?

If both are correct, when do you use which one? are there any cases where one is better that the other?

Is there any general rule to know when to say "XYZ of ABC" instead of "ABC XYZ". I've heard both but cannot figure out when to use which one?

Sorry, I filled the form through a smart phone and it was impossible to scroll through country list, after many attempts, I gave up. But I updated the info now.

Thanks for your reply Tarheel, I think you got confused by my example. My question is not about how to ask the question mentioned in my example, it was about knowing which is the correct way to say: "contact reason" or "reason for contact", my example was just a way to show in which context. I will give you another example. You go into a website to the customer service page and fill in a form, the first field is for the emai, the second is for the "contact resason/reason for contact" and the third is the body where you can explain your case.

What shoud it say on the webform: "reason for contact" or "contact reason"?

Hope my example is not confusing this time :)

As far as a form on the internet goes, I suppose "Reason for contact" would be OK.
