Remove your shoes. Is correct?

I used to say "remove your shoes" and remove your clothes

But now I say "take off your clothes" and take off your shoes

Which is correct? Please help!

Both are correct. "Remove" your shoes is maybe just a bit more formal than "take off," but both are perfectly acceptable.

And assuming it's a request, 'Could you take off ..., please.'

I would say 'take off your jacket/coat', if that's what you mean by 'take off your clothes', for fear of a misunderstanding.

After I checked my dictionary its possible to use all of these for removing shoes...
(take off, doff, put off, slip off).
