What are the people called who live in flats (irrespective of tenancy or land lordship)?

What if someone is an owner not a renter?

Here, apartments are rented, by definition. Otherwise, it's a condo or town home.

What is it you're trying to describe? People who live in multi-family buildings instead of single-family homes?

]As far as I know there is no single term for what would be' flat-dwellers' in BrE. People who own them are 'flat-owners'; people who rent them are 'tenants'. We do not differentiate between people who rent a flat and those who rent a house.

Actually I want to paste a notice and want to address the people ( both owners and renters) who live in a building that has some flats. What makes me confused is I heard some people say flatiites. Since I heard the voice, so I'm not sure of the spelling. Is this word or term used by native speakers? I hope I have been able to explain what I meant to ask.

'Flatiites' does not exist.

Why not address your notice, "To all residents"? That should cover it.

Not wrong, but not the best choice.

Inhabitants is generally used for people living in towns, cities and countries.
