Not having a computer at home, I have to retain everything I learn each day in my mind, resulting in my forgetting half of the lessons the next day.

Is"resulting in" awkward or fine as it is?

Context: Self made

It's not clear whether you mean "the next day, I forget half the lessons I learned the day before" or "at some point in the future, I forget everything I learn the next day". There's nothing wrong with "resulting in my forgetting" but what follows it isn't clear enough.

If I had to remember everything that would be a hopeless task.
It would, I'm afraid, be way too much to ask.

I know that might be considered old-fashioned nowadays, but you get a notebook or two and write things down. That would help your memory.
