I have some confusion about using the adv./prep. in the following examples.
1. He rides to work on the bus. (can I say, he rides the bus to work?)
2. It is exciting to ride on a ski. (can I say , it is exciting to ride a ski?)
I would appreciate some help.

I think there might be a printing/grammar error in my dictionary if you are correct. One more question, can I say "it is exciting to go skiing?
