What's the phrase mean "running out of chances"?

I quoted a sentence from book for your reference.
"I get the feeling she knows that this is it, that she is running out of chances."

That means that she has few opportunities remaining.

Does this sentence correct as follow?
I'm running out of chances for applying the jobs of Manager, because too many brilliant people to apply it.

Even if many brilliant people are applying for it, you will still have a chance to apply, but have a slim chance of getting it.

Not a teacher.

Is this sentence correct, as follows?
I'm running out of chances for applying for Manager jobs [or "jobs as a Manager"], because too many brilliant people are applying for them.
Please note my corrections above.

What's the difference between using "is" or "does" in question?

The difference is that 'does' is incorrect in your question.
'Is the sentence correct?'
'Does the sentence sound correct?'

Not a teacher.
