Let's say your friend explains how to use the xyz word in a sentence, but you don't agree with it. Given that the meaning of this expression is "you have the same views or opinions as someone" Can you say, "I don't see eye to eye with him on it?"

Can you say, "I don't see eye to eye with him on it?"
I'd prefer "He and I don't see eye to eye on it" but I suppose your phrasing is possible too.
