Hi teachers,
What does "see to it" mean? And how should it be used?
Thanks

"see to it that..." means "to make sure that..." --- quoted from my Oxford dictionary.

It means "to take care of something" .

I will see to it that the rules are changed.
I will see to it that the doors are closed after hours.

"Can you see to it that the fax goes this afternoon?" ── quoted from my Oxford dictionary again.

Note that this use of "to take care of something", where it means "to ensure that something happens", should not be confused with "to take care of something/someone" which means to assist an animal or a person which/who has some kind of physical, mental or emotional problem which means they need someone to look after them.

I suggest that you consider "to see to it" to mean "to ensure that it is done".

Yes, that is less confusing.

Yes, that is similar to what my dictionary says.
