Does the phrase "sees no local new cases" sound natural in English?

==================
For 18 days in a row, Mainland China sees no local new cases of COVID-19. The total number of hospitalized patients of locally infected COVID-19 is only 14 nationwide presently. There are averagely about a dozen of imported new cases every day during the 18-day course. All imported cases are immediately hospitalized until the virus being cleared from their bodies.

Which is better - no local new cases or no new local cases? I think it is the latter.

The present perfect is appropriate for events that happened in the past which are relevant to the present.

The total number of hospitalized patients of locally infected COVID-19 cases is only...

during 18-day course - during the period?
